Cotati Accident at Myrtle Avenue and Macklin Drive Left Male Party Dead

Cotati, California (November 17, 2020) – A man died following a pedestrian accident Monday afternoon, near Old Redwood Highway, in Cotati.
On November 16, at about 12:30 p.m., authorities received a report of a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle at Myrtle Avenue and Macklin Drive.
Police said the male party was hit by a van while walking his dog at the southern edge of Helen Putnam Park in the afternoon hours.
The van driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the law.
Man Killed in Cotati Pedestrian Accident Monday Afternoon
Sadly, the pedestrian died in the accident while his dog survived death.
The van was reportedly adorned with the logo for Dr. Handyman, Rohnert Park home repair and Maintenance Company.
Officials closed down Myrtle Avenue and Macklin Drive to around 4:30 p.m. as they investigated and cleared the scene.
