Lancaster, California (July 26, 2021) – 58-year-old Salem Shihady has been identified by the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station as the victim who died following a pedestrian accident at an intersection in Lancaster last Saturday night.

The fatal hit-and-run crash was reported at approximately 9:35 p.m. in the area of Date Avenue and Avenue J.

Shihady was reportedly hit by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene after the July 17 accident.

Sadly, Salem was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Meanwhile, investigators located the vehicle involved in the incident after receiving a call directing them where to find it.

An investigation into the deadly accident is underway.
