Desert Hot Springs, California (February 5, 2021) – Corey Callaghan, 37, of Palm Desert, has been identified as the male pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle on Thursday night in Desert Hot Springs, according to the coroner’s bureau.
The deadly accident occurred just before 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 4, on Palm Drive, just south of Dillon Road.
Authorities said Callaghan was hit by a vehicle for an unknown reason on Palm Drive.

Sadly, Callaghan was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police.
The roadway was closed for several hours while the authorities were investigating the accident.
