Man Dies in Contra Costa County Pedestrian Accident on Bethel Island Saturday
Contra Costa County, California (September 1, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday night in Eastern Contra Costa County, authorities said.
The fatal pedestrian accident was reported at around 9:20 p.m. Saturday, August 31 in the 6200 block of Bethel Island Road.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and found a man, believed to be in his 60s, lying on the roadway. He was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of family.
The driver involved was not injured in the accident.
The California Highway Patrol is investigated the accident.
