Concord, CA: Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crash on Highway 4

Concord, California (May 20, 2021) – A motorcycle rider sustained serious injuries following a traffic crash that happened Wednesday evening in Concord, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The major injury collision was reported just after 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 19 on Highway 4, just west of Port Chicago Highway.

According to the CHP, a Harley Davidson motorcycle collided with a black 2011 Nissan Altima in the eastbound lane of Highway 4.

First responders arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist suffering from major injuries as a result of the crash.

The rider was then taken to the Kaiser Permanente Hospital for treatment. The name and condition of the patient were not immediately disclosed.

A section of eastbound Highway 4 was blocked while the investigation took place. It was not immediately clear if the driver remained at or fled the scene after the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
