Concord, CA: Man Struck and Seriously Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver at Port Chicago Highway and Highway 4

Concord, California (February 11, 2020) – According to the California Highway Patrol, an 18-year-old Concord man sustained serious injuries in an alleged hit-and-run collision that took place in Concord at approximately 9:15 p.m. on February 10.

The major injury crash was reported on Monday night along the Port Chicago Highway on-ramp to eastbound Highway 4, Contra Costa.

The CHP did not immediately disclose the manner in which the collision occurred. The involved motorist did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. Authorities later located a person and vehicle of interest.

The pedestrian was hospitalized at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, with critical injuries sustained in the wreck.
