Concord, California (January 9, 2019) – One person was hurt after a chase ended in a crash in Concord on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Concord Police Department.

The incident was reported shortly after 1:55 p.m. January 8 at the Willows Shopping Center on Diamond Boulevard.

Police said two suspects led police on a pursuit after a failed robbery attempt at Home Depot at 2090 Meridian Park Boulevard. The chase ended when the vehicle crashed into a car at the entrance to the shopping center.

The suspects fled on foot but were soon arrested.

The driver of the car that was hit, identified as a 67-year-old resident of Concord, was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are investigating the incident.
