West Hills, California (March 20, 2021) – Colleen Wong, 57, was a West Hills, has been identified as the woman who died when a suspected street racer crashed into her vehicle on Friday afternoon in the West Hills neighborhood in Los Angeles, according to the coroner’s office. 

The deadly crash happened at around 4:04 p.m., on March 19, in the 24399 block of West Vanowen Street, between Valley Circle Boulevard and Platt Avenue.

According to the police, two to three cars were street racing and one driver lost control, crashing into Wong’s vehicle.

Bystanders reportedly pulled the Wong from the wreckage and provided CPR until paramedics arrived. Sadly, Wong was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries. It was not clear if he was an occupant of either vehicle involved in the crash. 

An investigation into the accident is underway.
