Elderly Man Killed in Clearlake Pedestrian Accident on Lakeshore Drive near Old Highway 53
Clearlake, California (August 14, 2020) – An elderly pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Thursday night in Clearlake, according to authorities.
The deadly crash was reported at around 9:13 p.m. Thursday, August 13, in the 15000 block of Lakeshore Drive near Old Highway 53.
Authorities said the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle while he was walking across the roadway.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian, a man in his 80s, lying down on the roadway.
The man was airlifted to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name was withheld pending notification of family.
The driver involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with police.
Authorities closed the roadway while they investigated the crash.
