Cielo Rojas ID’d as Person Killed in Gardena Car Accident on 405 Freeway near Normandie Avenue
Gardena, California (September 24, 2020) – Cielo Romero Rojas, of San Pedro, has been identified as the victim who was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on Thursday morning in Gardena, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
The deadly five-vehicle accident happened at about 3:40 a.m. on the southbound lanes of the 405 Freeway near Normandie Avenue.
According to the CHP, five vehicles collided on the freeway in unclear circumstances.
Following the collision, one of the vehicles flipped over and landed on its roof, the officials said.

Rojas, who was in one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other parties were hospitalized with injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
The involved vehicles were removed from the scene by two trucks.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
