Chula Vista, CA: Big Rig Crash on Otay Mesa Road
Minor Injuries Reported in Chula Vista Accident on Otay Mesa Road
Chula Vista, California (February 14, 2019) – Minor injuries were reported after a big rig accident Wednesday afternoon in the area of Chula Vista, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened at around 4:33 p.m. Wednesday, on Otay Mesa Road.
As per the CHP officials, two vehicles including a big rig crashed for unknown reasons.
An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the injured parties. The number of victims and their current condition was not immediately known.
The semi sustained significant front-end damage following the accident.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
Authorities closed the lanes following the crash.
