Christopher Williams ID’d as Rider Killed in State Route 76 Crash near Vía Monsera

Bonsall, California (January 4, 2019) – The man who was killed in a wrong-way traffic accident involving a US Marine early Tuesday morning in Bonsall has been identified as Christopher Williams, according to the authorities.
The horrific accident occurred just before 4:00 a.m. Tuesday, Jan 1. on the westbound lanes of State Route 76 near Vía Monsera.
According to the California Highway Patrol, United States Marine Private Adam Barooshian, 25, was driving a Lexus IS 300 eastbound on the westbound lanes of the freeway when he hit Williams, who was riding a Suzuki motorcycle in the correct direction.
Wreckages from the crash struck a third car.
The CHP said Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.
The report showed that Williams lived in Oceanside and was struck while he was heading home from Pauma Casino where he worked as a security guard.
Barooshian sustained minor injuries and was transported to Palomar Medical Center. He was then arrested on suspicion of DUI. According to reports, his court date was scheduled for Thursday.
Westbound lanes on State Route 76 were shut down until 7:00 a.m. as emergency crews worked to clear the scene of the accident.
