CHP Investigating Major Injury Collision on Highway 101 at Grand Avenue in San Francisco
1 Seriously Injured in San Francisco Car Crash on Highway 101 at Grand Avenue

San Francisco, California (December 31, 2010) – One person was seriously injured in a car accident that happened in South San Francisco on Thursday afternoon.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 1:30 p.m. on southbound Highway 101 at Grand Avenue.
The events leading up to the collision, however, were not immediately established.
The authorities said at least one person was seriously injured in the collision.
CHP temporarily closed the #3 and #4 lanes of the freeway and motorists were advised to use alternate routes.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
