Man Killed in Chollas Creek Bicycle Accident on Fairmount Avenue near 47th Street
Chollas Creek, California (February 13, 2019) – A man died when he was hit by a vehicle while riding a bicycle in Chollas Creek on Tuesday night, police said.
The crash took place on Fairmount Avenue near 47th Street shortly before 7 p.m. February 12.
Police said a 66-year-old man was riding against traffic on Fairmount Avenue when he was run over by a vehicle. According to police, the rider may have fallen from his bike and was struck by a Toyota Camry.
The victim died at the scene. His identity was not immediately released.
The driver of the Toyota, a 61-year-old woman, remained at the scene.
Police are working to determine the cause of the accident.
