2 Injured in Chico Car Accident at Meridian Road and Nord Highway
Chico, California (February 19, 2019) – Two people were injured Tuesday morning in a head-on collision at an intersection in Chico, a local news source reported.
The wreck happened at around 7:51 a.m. at the intersection of Meridian Road and Nord Highway.
As per the report, a red Chevrolet pickup truck collided with a silver sedan for an unknown reason at the intersection.
Firefighters responded to the scene and extricated two people who were trapped inside a wrecked vehicle. The extent of the injuries sustained by the victims at this time remained unknown.
Both vehicles sustained major front-end damage and were removed from the crash site.
The crash caused the closure of Meridian Road as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
