Chatsworth, California (January 17, 2019) – One person was hospitalized Thursday morning following a two-car accident in Chatsworth, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The collision was reported at around 5:46 a.m. on state Route 118 Ronald Reagan Freeway near Topanga Canyon Boulevard.

The CHP said a grey Toyota RAV 4 SUV and an orange Ford Mustang were involved in the collision. The SUV was in the HOV and No. 1 lane facing sideways and the Mustang was blocking the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes after the crash.

The SUV driver complained of chest pain as a result of the crash. Responding paramedics took one person to a hospital.

The CHP is investigating the crash.
