Cerritos, California (March 27, 2021) – A man was killed Friday night in a traffic accident in Cerritos, according to a local news source.

At around 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 26, California Highway Patrol officials received a report about the crash at the intersection of the Artesia (91) and San Gabriel River (605) freeways.

Upon arrival, they found a man lying down in the roadway in front of at least one vehicle.

Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.

The No. 4 lane of the southbound San Gabriel River Freeway at the Artesia Freeway was shut down following the accident.

No other details about the crash were immediately available.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
