Ceres Man Killed in Modesto Crash on Nadine Avenue near Musick Avenue

Modesto, California (May 2, 2021) – A two-vehicle collision has claimed the life of a 76-year-old Ceres man in south Modesto Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly crash occurred at around 12:05 p.m. on Nadine Avenue, just west of Musick Avenue.
The CHP said Riley Utley, 23, Modesto, was driving a 2002 Honda sedan eastbound on Nadine Avenue when it crashed into the side of a 1995 Nissan sedan that was attempting to make a U-turn.
Deadly Crash on Nadine Avenue in Modesto
The driver of the Nissan was transported to Doctors Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
Utley and his front-seat passenger, Tanner Pierce, 24, of Modesto, were unhurt.
Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
