Minor Injury in Castro Valley Multi-vehicle Accident at 580 Freeway and Strobridge Avenue
Castro Valley, California (June 7, 2019) – Minor injuries were reported in a traffic collision that involved three vehicles in Castro Valley Friday morning, cording to the California Highway Patrol report.
The multi-vehicle crash was reported at about 4:34 a.m. June 7, on the westbound Interstate 580 Freeway, just north of Hayward.
The accident happened when three vehicles collided at the intersection. The initial report indicated that one of the vehicles was driving recklessly before T-boning another vehicle. Due to the impact of the collision, the victim’s dark blue Chevrolet Cruze spun around and was facing the wrong way after the crash. The vehicles were also reported to have blocking the middle lanes and debris was strewn all over the freeway.
The driver was pinned inside the car following the crash and needed help.The victim was attended to by the paramedics who responded at the scene shortly after the accident.
It was not clear whether or not the patient was taken to the hospital after the collision.
The accident remains under an active investigation.
