Person Killed in Carlsbad Pedestrian Accident near Grand Avenue and State Street
Carlsbad, California (November 20, 2020) – A pedestrian died after being struck by an Amtrak train Thursday evening in Carlsbad, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident happened a little before 7:20 p.m. Thursday, November 19, near the Carlsbad Village Station just off Grand Avenue and State Street.
Authorities said the pedestrian was hit by Amtrak Pacific Surfliner 584 that was heading southbound.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim was withheld pending notification of family.
The accident remains under investigation.
