Carla Bison Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Highway 62 near Lanning Lane in Morongo Valley
Morongo Valley, California (December 29, 2020) – The authorities have disclosed the identity of a pedestrian who was injured after being hit by a car in Morongo Valley on Monday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision happened on Highway 62 just west of Lanning Lane at about 8 p.m.
Carla Bison, 61, of Morongo Valley, was walking across the highway when she was hit by a 2019 Subaru Legacy, driven by Jacob Schofield, 26, of Wenatchee, Washington.
Bison sustained major injuries and was transported to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs for treatment.
Schofield stopped at the scene and rendered aid to the pedestrian.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
