Candy Huffman Injured in Sacramento Plane Crash on American River near 5 Freeway

Sacramento, California (January 6, 2019) – A woman injured after a small plane crashed into American River Wednesday last week has been identified as 64-year-old Candy Huffman of Parker, according to a local news source.
The accident happened at around 11:37 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, on American River, east of 5 Freeway.
As per the report, Keith Hezmalhalch who was piloting the two-seat plane at the time of the crash said that he forgot to ensure that his landing gear was up before attempting the maneuver.
Hezmalhalch dove underwater four times to save Candy who was revived after CPR was performed on her at the hospital.
Candy broke her ribs, and her lungs were deflated after the collision. The woman is still in a coma at the hospital.
An investigation is ongoing.
