2 Injured, 1 Seriously in Calistoga Crash on Highway 29 at Dunaweal Lane

Calistoga, California (July 8, 2021) – Two people were hospitalized after a traffic collision that happened Thursday morning in Calistoga, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck was reported at around 6:34 a.m. on northbound Highway 29 at Dunaweal Lane.
According to CHP, a blue Ford Mustang and a GMC pickup truck collided, possibly head-on, under unclear circumstances, blocking both traffic lanes.
The Mustang was facing the wrong way after the collision.
Cal Fire responded to the scene to find one person with major injuries and another with moderate injuries. The firefighters requested an air ambulance to transport the patients to the hospital.
Both vehicles were towed away with major front-end damage.
CHP is investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
