Los Angeles, California (February 17, 2020) – Two people were hospitalized with serious injuries after being involved in a head-on collision that happened in the area of Angels Camp at around 11:10 a.m. on Saturday.

The major injury crash was reported in the morning hours along westbound Highway 4 near Pool Station Road.

As per the California Highway Patrol report, the accident involved two vehicles that crashed head-on along the highway for undisclosed reasons.

Due to the impact of the collision, one of the vehicles involved rolled onto its side. Unidentified victims were pinned in one of the vehicles after the wreck.

2 Airlifted After Angels Camp Head-On Crash on Highway 4 

The trapped victims were extricated from the wreckage by fire department officials, along with the medical personnel who arrived at the scene shortly after the mishap.

A total of two people were taken to the hospital by two air ambulances for treatment of major injuries sustained in the crash.

Meanwhile, the identities and the current conditions of the patients have not yet been released to this time.

The accident remains under an active investigation.
