16-Year-Old Boy Seriously Injured in Buellton Collision at Highway 246 and Sycamore Drive
Buellton, California (July 22, 2021) – A boy was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle while riding a minibike in Buellton Thursday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The major injury collision happened just before 7:00 p.m. in the area of Highway 246 and Sycamore Drive.
The 16-year-old boy was riding a minibike in the area when, for an unknown reason, a small truck traveling on Highway 246 hit him, the CHP reported.

The boy was taken to the Santa Ynez Airport and then airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with major injuries. His current condition was not immediately disclosed.
