Baldwin Park, California (March 29, 2021) – Bruce Acosta, 24, of Cudahy, has been identified as the man who was killed in a Sunday night traffic accident that left one other person injured in Baldwin Park, authorities said.

The deadly accident occurred at about 11:19 p.m., on March 28, on the northbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway near Ramona Boulevard.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2018 Nissan Rogue, driven by Acosta, veered off the right side of the freeway onto the embankment then went back onto the freeway, where it was struck by another vehicle.

Sadly, Acosta was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other car was hospitalized with minor injuries.

More details about the accident were not immediately available.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
