47-Year-Old Brian Nelson Witzeman Died in San Diego Lime Scooter Crash on Mission Beach Boardwalk

San Diego, California (June 26, 2019) – The victim killed in Lime scooter collision that injured another person in San Diego Sunday afternoon has been identified as 47-year-old Brian Nelson Witzeman, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner.
The deadly collision was reported at around 1:30 p.m. June 23, on Ocean Front Walk near Santa Barbara place.
As per the reports, the accident involved two electric Lime scooters. Witzeman who was riding a dockless scooter collided with another rider on Ocean Front Walk for unknown reasons. Due to the impact, both riders were ejected from the scooters and landed on the concrete pavement.

Witzeman was transported to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla Emergency Department by the paramedics who responded at the scene shortly after the collision. He was shortly pronounced dead after his arrival at the hospital.
The rider of the other involved scooter who was identified as a 22-year-old woman had complaints of pain and a leg injury.
