Bloomington, California (February 22, 2021) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday evening in Bloomington, according to a local news source.

The deadly pedestrian accident happened at around 7:17 p.m. Saturday, February 20, on the Interstate 10 Freeway, just west of Cedar Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian, a 43-year-old Lake Elsinore man, was walking in the westbound lanes of the freeway when he was hit by a 2008 Jeep Wrangler driven by a 33-year-old Riverside man.

Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 10 in Bloomington

Paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of family.

The accident remains under investigation.
