At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Big Lagoon Car Accident on Highway 101 near Kane Road
Big Lagoon, California (July 19, 2020) – At least one person was seriously injured Sunday afternoon in a traffic accident on a highway near Big Lagoon in Humboldt County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash involving two vehicles happened at around 12:09 p.m. on Highway 101 near Kane Road.
The CHP said a silver SUV collided with a blue pickup truck on the highway for unknown reasons.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and extricated one party who was trapped in their vehicle.
At least one person sustained major injuries and was airlifted to a hospital for treatment. The name and condition of the patient were not immediately disclosed.
Authorities closed both lanes of the highway for nearly half an hour following the crash.
No further details about the accident were immediately available.
