Bicyclist Hospitalized After Being Struck by Vehicle on Highway 140 in Merced
Man Injured in Merced Hit-and-Run Accident on Highway 140

Merced, California (October 25, 2020) – A bicyclist was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle early Friday morning in Merced, according to a local news source.
The bicycle accident, which was reported at around 12:05 a.m. Friday, October 23, happened on West Highway 140 near the Arco AM PM gas station.
Reportedly, a man in his mid 20’s was riding his bicycle on westbound Highway 140 when, for an unknown reason, he was hit by a vehicle.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found the injured rider. The victim was transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries. His name and current condition were not disclosed.
The driver involved did not stop to render aid to the bicyclist and fled the scene. There was no description of the suspect’s vehicle or the driver.
Police are still searching for the hit-and-run driver.
