Rider Hospitalized After Belmont Motorcycle Hit-and-Run Accident on Highway 101

Belmont, California (October 2, 2019) – A rider was transported to the hospital after being involved in a traffic crash in the area of Belmont on Tuesday morning, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The accident, which was reported at about 8:11 a.m. October 1, occurred along Highway 101 near the Ralston Avenue off-ramp.
The CHP said a motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle of unspecified built on the highway for unknown reasons.

The motorcyclist was found laying on the ground by paramedics who responded at the scene shortly after the crash. The victim was taken to Stanford Hospital for treatment of possible concussions.
The identity and the current condition of the injured party have not yet been released to this time.
The CHP affirmed that the driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. The CHP is still investigating the crash to locate the hit-and-run motorist.
