Abeer Aqil and 2 Kids Hurt in Santa Rosa Car Crash at Yuba Drive and Stony Point Road
Santa Rosa, California (October 2, 2019) – A 10-year-old boy was severely injured after a traffic crash Sunday afternoon in Santa Rosa, according to a local news source.
The collision occurred at around 1:20 p.m. Sunday, September 29, at Yuba Drive and Stony Point Road.
As per the report, 22-year-old Abeer Aqil, of Santa Rosa was driving a car with a 10-year-old boy and a 11-year-old child as passengers. Aqil made a turn from southbound Stony Point Road onto eastbound Yuba Drive and she crashed into a northbound Dodge Caravan driven by 62-year-old Steven Burch, of Santa Rosa. The two vehicles drove through the junction at the same time and finally crashed.

Responding emergency crews arrived at the scene and rendered aid to the victims. The 10-year-old boy suffered severe head injuries while the other juvenile suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash.
Aqil sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Information cocnenring Burch was not immediately released.
An investigation is underway.
