Becki Teague Critically Injured in Fatal Temecula Car Accident on Highway 79
Temecula, California (January 4, 2020) – 59-year-old Becki Teague of Aguanga has been identified as one of the injured parties after a fiery crash early Friday morning in the area Temecula, according to authorities.
The fatal crash occurred at around 12:25 a.m. Friday, January 3, on Highway 79 near Anza Road.
As per the California Highway Patrol, Mateo Monica, 50, of San Diego, was traveling eastbound on Highway 79 near Anza Road and was attempting to overtake a slower vehicle when it crossed over the double yellow lines and collided head-on into a westbound 2004 Kia Rio operated by Becki Teague, 59, of Aguanga.
The Mitsubishi burst into flames following the crash.
Pollete, a Kia front seat passenger, was pronounced dead at the crash site.
Teague suffered severe injuries and was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar where she was listed in a critical condition. Monica was also taken to Inland Valley Medical Center for treatment of severe injuries.
An investigation is ongoing.
