One Airlifted after Barstow Big Rig Crash on Interstate 15 near Stoddard Wells Road
Barstow, California (March 23, 2019) – One person was flown to a hospital after being involved in a crash with a semi early Saturday morning in Barstow, according to the CHP.
The crash occurred at about 4 a.m. on Interstate 15 north of Stoddard Wells Road.
CHP said a white sedan crashed into the back of a semi on the northbound I-15.
Firefighters responded to the incident and requested a helicopter to transport the sedan driver to a hospital. The victim had life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
The sedan sustained major front-end damage.
The driver of the semi was not injured and remained at the scene.
The CHP is working to find out the cause of the wreck.
