Baldwin Park, California (February 6, 2019) – One person was killed early Wednesday morning in a traffic crash involving three vehicles in the Baldwin Park area, according to a local news source.

The deadly crash, which was reported at about 5:30 a.m., happened on 605 Freeway, just south of 10 Freeway.

As per the report, a Jeep was traveling on 605 Freeway when for an unknown reason it crossed over the center median barrier and into the southbound side, where it collided head-on with a sedan.

A third vehicle traveling on the northbound side of the freeway also became involved in the collision and was facing surface streets.

The force of the impact caused the Jeep to flip onto its side.

One person was taken to a hospital where that person later succumbed to their injuries. The name of the deceased victim has not been released pending identification and notification of family.

The crash caused the closure of the 605 Freeway as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.

No other details were immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
