Woman Injured in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run Accident on Wible Road near Econo Lodge
Bakersfield, California (May 18, 2021) – A pedestrian was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver Monday morning in Bakersfield, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at around 6:50 a.m. Monday, May 17, in the 1030 block of Wible Road near the Econo Lodge.
CHP said the pedestrian, a 29-year-old woman, was hit by a vehicle on Wible Road.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and rendered aid to the woman who sustained a leg and/or ankle injury as a result of the crash. Her name and condition were not immediately disclosed.
The involved driver fled the scene after the crash. There were no descriptions of the suspect’s vehicle or the driver.
Police are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect.
Wible Road near Wood lane was shut down due to the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
