Motorcyclist Killed in Bakersfield Accident on Interstate 5 near Grapevine Road
Bakersfield, California (March 18, 2019) – A rider was killed in an accident involving a motorcycle and a semi-truck on Saturday afternoon in Bakersfield, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at an unspecified time March 16, on southbound Interstate 5 south of Grapevine Road.
Police said a motorcyclist rear-ended a trailer on Interstate 5 near Grapevine Road.
Rider Killed in Bakersfield Motorcycle Crash
The motorcyclist sustained severe injuries and was transported to the hospital, where they later succumbed to the injuries.
Police said alcohol was not a factor the crash but speed may have contributed.
No other details of the crash were immediately released.
The crash remains under investigation.
