2 Injured in Bakersfield Motorcycle Crash at Gosford Road and District Boulevard
Bakersfield, California (September 15, 2019) – Two people were injured in a traffic accident in Bakersfield on Friday afternoon, a local news source reported.
The wreck happened in the afternoon hours September 14, the area of Gosford Road and District Boulevard.
As per the local news report, a man was riding his motorcycle southbound on Gosford Road when he traveled into the path of an SUV that was turning a U-turn on Gosford Road. Investigators determined the motorcyclist was doing a “wheelie” when the accident occurred.
Paramedics responded to the scene and rendered aid to the parties involved. The motorcyclist was immediately transported to a hospital for treatment of moderate to major injuries. The rider was later listed in critical but stable condition.
A passenger in the SUV suffered minor injuries in the crash. However, the driver of the SUV was not injured.
Meanwhile, authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
