Bakersfield, California (December 8, 2019) – One person sustained minor injuries in a traffic collision that happened in the area of Bakersfield Friday night.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the minor injury crash was reported at approximately 7:07 p.m. December 6, at the intersection of Niles Street and Park Drive near Highway 184 and the Hort Elementary School.

The CHP said a black pickup truck and a black colored sedan crashed at the intersection for a reason still under an active investigation.

Due to the impact, one of the cars ended up 200 feet in the grass field.

1 Injured After Two Cars Crashed in Bakersfield 

One person sustained minor injuries in the crash. The victim was attended to by fire department officials along with the paramedics who responded to the scene shortly after the crash.

It was not mentioned whether or not the unidentified victim was transported to the hospital for further treatment.

The CHP is gathering more evidence to identify the cause of the accident.
