Acton, California (April 28, 2021) – Two of the several victims injured in a two-vehicle collision Friday night in Acton has been identified as Daylyn Dashawn Lloyd, 15, of Palmdale, and 23-year-old David Onate of Lancaster.

The fatal traffic accident occurred at approximately 11:05 p.m., April 23, on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway just north of Crown Valley Road.

As per the California Highway Patrol report, a 2011 Honda Accord operated by David Onate crashed into the back of a 1999 Honda Accord driven by 31-year-old Pierre Roberts Johnson northbound on the freeway.

Due to the impact, Johnson’s Honda lost control and came to a stop facing south in the northbound lanes of the interstate.

Three passengers, including Jaylyn Lloyd, were riding in the1999 Honda Accord at the crash time.

A 12-year-old Palmdale boy died at the Antelope Valley Hospital while undergoing treatment of major injuries. Jaylyn sustained major injuries and was hospitalized at Antelope Valley Hospital with major injuries.

A third Palmdale passenger, 33, was also taken to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Both Johnson and Onate survived with minor injuries.
