Austin Grosjean Injured in Motorcycle Accident on Silverado Trail

Napa, California (September 17, 2019) – 24-year-old Austin Grosjean was severely hurt after an alleged DUI collision Saturday night in the area of Napa, according to authorities.

The collision occurred on the Silverado Trail and Highland Drive at around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, September 14.

As per the CHP officials, Grosjean was stopped on Silverado Trail with his blinkers on, waiting to turn left onto Winding Way when his motorcycle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by 68-year-old Alexis Handleman.

Rider Injured in Crash on Silverado Trail and Highland Drive

Responding paramedics attended to Grosjean who suffered a broken thigh bone as a result of the crash. Grosjean was taken to a local hospital for further treatment.

Handleman was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI. He was taken to the Napa County jail before being released.

An investigation is underway.
