Santa Maria, California (April 9, 2019) – 29-year-old Ashley Nicole Castillo of Bakersfield has been identified as the passenger killed in a head-on vehicle crash on Saturday afternoon in Santa Maria, according to a local news source.
The crash took place around 12:34 p.m. April 6, on Highway 166 near Rock Front Ranch.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s deputies said a 1992 Honda Accord collided head-on with a 2016 Nissan Sentra which was carrying three students.

Castillo, who was a passenger in the Honda Accord, and the driver of the same vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. The three occupants of the Nissan were hospitalized with injuries ranging from minor to severe.
No further details on the crash were immediately released.
