Arthur Maloles Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Hawthorne Boulevard in Torrance
Arthur Maloles ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Torrance Crash at Hawthorne and Lomita Boulevards
Torrance, California (October 13, 2020) – The motorcyclist who was killed Monday afternoon in a traffic accident at a Torrance intersection has been identified as Arthur Maloles, 44, of Winnetka, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office.
The deadly motorcycle crash happened at around 3:20 p.m. Monday, October 12 at the intersection of Hawthorne Boulevard and Lomita Boulevard.
Authorities said Maloles was riding his motorcycle northbound on Hawthorne Boulevard when he collided with a southbound Ford Escape that was attempting to make a left turn.
Deadly Motorcycle Crash on Hawthorne Boulevard in Torrance
Maloles was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford Escape, a 56-year-old woman, was not injured and stopped at the scene to cooperate with the investigators. Drugs or alcohol was not considered a factor in the accident.
Police closed Hawthorne Boulevard between Lomita Boulevard and Skypark Drive as they investigated the accident.
