East Hollywood, California (November 10, 2020) – Arin Pugh, 23, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a Monday night traffic accident that left a 2-year-old boy injured in East Hollywood, authorities said.

The deadly single-vehicle accident transpired at about 9:25 p.m., on November 9, on the northbound Hollywood (101) Freeway.

According to the California Highway Patrol report, a 2012 Hyundai Accent, driven by Pugh, veered off the freeway onto an embankment, striking several objects and crashing into a fence before returning to the freeway and coming to a stop in the No. 4 lane.

Pugh, who was trapped in her vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Good Samaritan pulled the 2-year-old boy from the twisted wreckage. The toddler sustained a head injury and was taken to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for treatment.

More details about the accident were not immediately available.
