Arglia Rodriguez Seriously Injured in Crash at Claratina Avenue and Oakdale Road in Modesto
Arglia Rodriguez ID’d as 1 of 2 Women Injured in Modesto Car Accident at Claratina Avenue and Oakdale Road
Modesto, California (November 9, 2020) – Arglia Rodriguez, 23, has been identified as one of the two women who were killed in a traffic accident on Saturday night in Modesto, authorities said.
The major injury accident happened at about 11:40 p.m. on November 7, between Claratina Avenue and Oakdale Road.
A witness told the police that he was driving on Oakdale Drive towards Claratina Avenue with a vehicle in front of him and one behind. The driver behind, Jessica Hernandez, 23, of Sunnyvale, tried to pass but pulled into the path of an oncoming vehicle.
Hernandez reportedly tried to drive back to the right lane but, unfortunately, lost control and drove into the orchard, where it flipped over and landed on its roof.
As a result of the collision, both Hernandez and her passenger, Rodriguez, were trapped in their vehicle. First responders arrived at the scene and extricated the two parties from the car, the officials said.

Rodriguez sustained major injuries and was also taken to a hospital for treatment.
Hernandez, who was determined to be intoxicated, was hospitalized with moderate injuries. She was also placed under arrest for felony DUI.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
