Antwon Washington ID’d as Man Killed in Bakersfield Crash at Panama Lane and Stine Road
Bakersfield, California (March 30, 2021) – The man who died mid this month in a traffic accident in Bakersfield has been identified as Antwon Jervon Washington, 29, of Los Angeles, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Bureau.
The deadly crash occurred at about 2:31 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, near the intersection of Panama Lane and Stine Road, authorities said.
According to the authorities, Washington was driving his car at a high rate of speed when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of the vehicle, which overturned and hit a tree.
Washington was ejected from the vehicle as a result of the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The man driving the second vehicle and his passenger were transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
It is undetermined whether intoxication played a role in the crash.
