San Jose, California (June 6, 2020) – According to authorities, Antonio Bolano, 27, of San Jose, has been identified as the hit-and-run suspect who was involved in a bicycle accident that killed a man and left a woman injured on Thursday evening in San Jose.

At about 4:56 p.m., on June 4, the police responded to the deadly accident on the Guadalupe River Trail, directly under the Tasman Bridge.

Tom Fawcett, 61, and his companion, a 59-year-old woman, were cycling northbound on the roadway when, for unknown reasons, Bolano allegedly struck them.

Fawcett was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The 59-year-old woman was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Bolano fled the scene immediately after the collision. He was located and arrested on Friday.

Bolano was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries sustained from the accident. He will be booked into Santa Clara County Jail for felony hit-and-run and manslaughter after he is medically cleared from the hospital.
