Allen Gaitan Killed in Acton Car Crash on Antelope Valley 14 Freeway

Acton, California (September 22, 2020) – 41-year-old Allen Gaitan, of Palmdale, has been identified as the driver who died following an alleged DUI car crash Sunday night in Acton, according to a report by the coroner’s office and the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal accident took place on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway, near Mountain Springs Road, around 8:50 p.m.
A 1995 Toyota driven by Gaitan slammed into the side of the interstate and went down an embankment onto Forest View Road— which parallels the freeway — before striking a fence.

Sadly, Gaitan died in the accident while his passenger was rushed to an area hospital for treatment of major injuries.
Officials believed alcohol and/or drugs played a role in the mishap.
