Alexandra Verallas Arrested after Napa Pedestrian Crash on Soscol Avenue near Lincoln Avenue
Napa, California (January 17, 2019) – Police have arrested a woman suspected to have been involved in a hit-and-run accident that left a pedestrian hospitalized with serious injuries on Tuesday evening in Napa.
According to a report by the Napa Police Department, the incident took place at about 6:42 a.m. January 15 in the 1900 block of Soscol Avenue south of Lincoln Avenue.
Police said a 60-year-old woman was not in the crosswalk when she was hit by a vehicle traveling in the southbound lanes of Soscol Avenue.
The victim was transported to Queen of the Valley Medical Center with major head trauma.
The driver fled the scene after hitting the pedestrian in the right lane of Soscol Avenue. Police on Wednesday arrested Alexandra Verallas, 20, of Napa, in the 700 block of Marsh Court after locating the suspect vehicle.
Verallas’ car, a newer Honda Civic, had damage consistent with the suspect vehicle. She was arrested on Suspicion of hit-and-run causing injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
