Alec Flores Dies after Alleged DUI Hit-and-Run Accident on Franklin Road in Yuba City
Alec Flores Killed in Yuba City Pedestrian Accident on Franklin Road near Lindsey Lane
Yuba City, California (October 9, 2019) – Alec Flores, 13, of Yuba City, has died from injuries he sustained Monday morning after being hit by an alleged drunk driver in Yuba City.
The accident happened just after 8:00 a.m. Monday, October 7 on Franklin Road near Lindsey Lane.
Police said Flores was walking to school along Franklin Road when he was hit by a vehicle driven by Constance Addison, 37.
Flores sustained major injuries and was taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries Tuesday morning.
Addison did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. She was later arrested.
Authorities said Addison had her three children in the car with her at the time of the accident. She is facing charges for felony hit-and-run, child endangerment, and felony driving under the influence causing injury.
